Fantastic food. Get there early as some items sell out. Desserts to die for. Home cooked food. Very small seating area, and the staff can become overwhelmed when a crowd arrives but they smile and laugh making for a fun time. Loved it. It would be a regular place for me to go if I didn't live on the opposite side of the country.…

We stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon. For just $3 we were given a tour around by a student who was clearly fascinated with history and keen to point out what the various knick knacks had been used for. The museum is small so even with a tour it only took us half an hour to see. As people visiting from out of province, the one thing that might have improved the experience was a brief overview of the Acadian people to start - who are they and why should we care about their story? Still for a small museum, it was exceedingly well run. Glad we stopped in. …

We had a little trouble finding the Acadian House Museum (SatNav issues), but were very pleased when we finally got there. The entrance fee was a very reasonable $3, and for that we were treated to a tour with a knowledgable and friendly young guide, who was clearly proud of her community and its history. The items in the museum had been donated by local families, so it was all authentic and unpretentious. It was fascinating to build up a picture of a way of life and the traditions that grew up around it. It’s a small museum, but packed with interest. Recommended.…

Our young local guide was pleasant but not very knowledgeable about her subject, particularly as it pertained to the Acadians of Chezzetcook. Nor did she seem particularly interested. This is a very small, inexpensive museum but a little enthusiasm and more interaction with the visitors would be good ... and would go a long way to impress our tourists.…
