I stayed at Comala for few nights. Unfortunately because of rain and clouds almost didn't see the Volcano.Better to do it at the season. I took a private tour for 600 pesos, by Jupiter. Ask locals. Also it a nice towns near Volcano.

Where else in the world can you watch an active volcano erupt in steam an ash about every 3 hours? This is well worth a side trip to see. We stayed in Comala, at a clean, safe and inexpensive hostel. The plaza is busy in...More

The most thrilling experience to be right there seeing it in person! The drive up was so beautiful, all the wild flowers and the view just spectacular. We are going back again before the rainy season! Just Epic!
