A great way to spend an hour or two. Definitly take a guide. The fellow we had was very knowledgeable about mining in Durango. We would have struggled without him. Elevator to get up and down and an easy, smooth walk through the tunnel.

I thought it would get more of an authentic feel of the tunnels but it felt more like a museum. You can go with the tour guide which takes 30 minutes or if you want to walk on your own it's a little bit faster....More

We found this museum almost by accident and are happy that we did. The tour guide was very interesting and well-informed. Thoroughly enjoyed our time in the 'mine'.

When I went they did not have a tour in English and I don't speak Spanish. But it was a nice little break and not to expensive. Interesting history... some of the signs are in English and that helped.

Went on self guided tour on a whim. Most of the exhibits in Spanish...about every third exhibit has an english description. Very interesting history of mining in the state of Durango. Long history of mineral extraction for Spain. A very easy tour......

We walked through the Silver Mine Museum stopping to read all the information, look at all the photos, saw all displays. Upon entering we were given a hard hat and an orange vest to wear. All the way through we could hear the clinking of...More
