In the public areas of the Palacio you will find some of the most impressive murals in Mexico. They tell a great story about Mexico and it's independence.

Over the years I have worked with several officials in Aguascalientes - the Palacio is where things happen. It is built around a courtyard with murals around the inside walls. The big plaza is also a place for many things to happen in this city.

Only got to go through quickly but the architecture and murals are quite nice! It is good for a quick look around if you are in the historical center of Aguascalientes.

The artwork is the destination. Magnificent. Greater appreciation of moralists and their ability to transmit a story across ,anguage and cultures.

We had gone to see the "Broken Christ". Our guide decided that I was sufficiently curious about Mexico that I should see the murals of the Palacio de Gobernio. This palace was built in the 1700 First, It has to be said that those murals were executed by Guillermo Cuellar Arellano, a star pupil of Diego Rivera, the painter who... More

It almost seems to required that important governmental buildings be decorated with spectacular murals, and this one was no exception. (Copying Mexico City maybe?) I found Aguascalientes to be a bit drab; these murals were not!

Remarkable building with imposing murals. Its notable the central imperial staircase, the 101 arches in carved pink stone, and its red volcanic stone in its walls that armoniously survive from centuries ago.
