Simply driving north along the Bahia Concepcion provides for gorgeous views. Stopping along the way and enjoying the beaches filled with shells and the warm calm waters is icing on the cake. Wish we would have had more time to enjoy this part of Baja.

By far, the best beaches to camp at are: Santispac and El Coyote! Be careful of Escondida; it's easy to get stuck in the deep sand there. If you visit any of the Bahia Conception beaches, please pitch in with picking up after your dog,...More

The man who is the boat driver, (do you drive a boat?), has lived here all his life. This time we didn't see any whale sharks, because there weren't any around. Cheecho is his name, and his phone number is: 615-153- 0101. He dove for...More

Concepcion is a perfect area for kayaking to small islands to see blue footed boobies, brown pelicans, ospreys and 100s of jumping dolphins!

We stayed here on our way to and from whale watching at San Ignacio. Bob and Susan have created a paradise. The location and views are amazing. Everything is immaculate. We plan to return in the Fall and stay longer.

I am not sure what options are available out of Mulege. We did a snorkel trip out of La Paz. The whale sharks were in abundance! Definitely a cool adventure!

No there is not. You can rent a car in Loreto, and drive to many beaches. There are some gorgeous beaches just south of Mulege. Be sure to stop in Mulege, there are great shops in town.
