Very nice museum, a must for collectors of retro

Small, but nice museum , a must for retro-collectors. Cosy and enough to see for, about ,an hour. Visted with my 83 mum. Recognizable for the 40+ , but also nice for the younger people, because retro is"back again". Price to enter is low.

Paintings and industrial heritage
Jan 2016 • Solo
During my visit, there was an exhibition of paintings on the ground floor. Most were, in my view, in a Van Gogh-like style. I liked the paintings, but I would like a little more background information with them. I only learned that they were collected by someone who wished to remain anonymous. At the top floor, there was an exhibition of 'industrial heritage'. This comprised three main components, namely damask (as mentioned by the other reviewer, so that indeed seems to be permanent), Simplex, and Brabantia. Simplex are a kind of puzzles for small children, where single shapes have to be fit into a corresponding hole. I didn't know these were made in this region, but now I do. By far most space was dedicated to Brabantia, which is a brand for household items. This brand too is from the region. I found this exhibition a bit chaotic. Some descriptions with individual items, rather than general descriptions for the entire collection, would have improved the experience.

Very charming small museum, mix of old and new
Nov 2011 • Couples
This is a very charming little museum about 10 minutes from Einhoven. The upstairs exhibition space shows changing displays from their permanent collection of antique Damask handwoven linens. The exhibits seem to focus on a theme. When we were there it was "flora and fauna" so the designs encorporated flowers and animals. The fabric panels are beautifully displayed in a contemporary gallery within the old mill. Downstairs there is a gallery for changing exhibits of contemporary Dutch art. When we were there work by a collaboration of metal artists was shown together with a multimedia show and film.
