Catch L'Ola is the surf shop you need to check out when you are in Ixtapa! Leon is a legendary surfer who has surfed with the greatest surfers in the world such as Corky Carroll and Kelly Slater. He is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful when you are just learning to surf. His team helped my friends and I go... More

Leon and his team did a wonderful job teaching us how to surf. I surfed once before, but it was my kids first time surfing. The did an amazing job working with everyone, if you didn't leave tired- you weren't surfing. After surfing, we went back to his shop. He offered advice for lunch, even went next door and help... My partner and I joined up for one of their daily 7:30am to 11am surf trips. It was the only way we found to rent boards in Ixtapa and find some waves. It was awesome. Leo and his staff were fantastic. Super nice, safe, in English or Spanish. They took us to a nice point break 10 minutes out of... More

I am a beginner and I surfed for 4 days in a row with Leo and his team! First of all, the location is beautiful, unspoiled and rustic. The water is not cold at all and the instructors teach you to paddle and ride waves in the foam and the beach is such that you can still have a nice... More

I am so glad that this place was my first ever surfing experience! Id always wanted to try and so was so happy to see there was a surf school just a short walk from our hotel in Ixtapa. First of all, Leon! What a fantastic guy! A true dedicated surfer, telling us he surfed every single day! It was... More

I've always wanted to try surfing and my new hubby got roped in to try it with me on our honeymoon last week. Leo and his crew were great at giving us the lesson and getting us on waves once in the water! Lots of work, but totally worth it! We'll be trying it some more back home! Thanks for... More

The kids (10 and13) were able to get up on the boards right away. Warm water, nice waves! The helpers in the water were good and helped with the paddling a lot which made it a lot easier.
