We booked Julio's tours to spend the day on the water looking for dolphins, whales and sea turtles. We spent three hours on the boat and saw dolphins and sea turtles. At the end they took us to Los Gatos beach and let us have as much time there as we wanted. It was great to not be rushed like... More

We were picked up in the early morning and taken to the boat for fishing. We caught a lot of very large fish. Then they took us to Ixtapa Island to have a guy cook some of our fish. This I thought ridiculous as after very few drinks and the fish it was like $156. We tried to tell the... More

Perhaps because we only chose the snorkeling option, we did not have the 'wow' experience the others had who went for the combo tour that included fishing. I've snorkeled in Hawaii, Belize, the Philippines, and Costa Rica, and I must say, the place where Julio took us was the least satisfactory in terms of the sea life we witnessed. The... More

Julio offers a good alternative to the larger boat/larger group snorkling tours available in the area. Three of us enjoyed snorkling and then, at our request, a ride on the water to see the shoreline before stopping for lunch at Las Gatas (we paid for our lunch there but service was special because we were with Julio). He is flexible... More

Had a great time with Julio and his mate Tomas. Started off fishing and caught 5 Bonita. When it got hot we went to Playa Manzinilla to cool off with the snorkeling. Saw many unusual fish. On our way in, stopped at Julio's mom's restaurant on Playa Las Gatas where she cooked our fish for us.

I posted my full review under another title. It was overall a good day. We did catch fish. We did snorkel. We did get the beach-side lunch with our catch. They were nice enough and seemed to know what they were doing. I was only a little disappointed about a couple of things. There was no instruction or conversation about... More

We did the combo and the offshore fishing and had fun both days even though we didn't catch anything the second day. It was definitely not for lack of expertise though. Julio and Miguel are very professional and Miguel impressed my husband with his surgeon-like hands. We caught yellow tail and mackeral the first day and it was delicious! We... More

Your review is unfair. Do you realize the day that you went fishing with Julio was the day that Zihuatanejo experienced a fog phenomenon? A phenomenon so rare that nobody has ever witnessed it before. The cold currents rolled in the middle of the day. This event was on youtube and was talked about by many. The videos I have... More

Sometimes you strike out fishing and sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate. Don't miss out on what was a highlight of our trip because of one negative review. Julio and his family/crew are hard working, really good people who will treat you to a special day on the water. My girlfriend and I booked the fishing and snorkeling combo trip with... More
