These humongous waves are incredible to watch especially when some brave soul is riding it on a six foot fiberglass board!

Great beach for a walk, numerous good restaurants and shops. Very popular with surfers, low-rent hotels along this strip. Lovely!

Zicatela is a blend of surfers, young people, beach clubs, bars and great food. The beach is a long strip of approximately 3km. A place to enjoy and chill.

The beach is amazing and pretty long, not crowded at all. There are some big waves that are really fun to play with, but be careful as it can be really strong ones.

Playa Zicatella is just one beach of 4 in Puerto Escondido. It is the main surfing beach (mican pipeline) not a fishing beach. I have never seen any violence in Puerto Escondido and have been going there for over 20 years
