If you are interested in birds or are looking to add a few more species to your list-I would highly recommend Laloecotours for your next adventure. Eve was an excellent guide who was patient with everyone’s various levels of birding skills and spoke excellent English....More

Amazing birthday, starting going through the swap and observing a crocodile, then watching how sweet and salty sea collide.. after hiking the mountain to the lighthouse and observe the fantastic view... the restaurants at Chacahua beach, not that good but it’s worth the nature experience

Wonderful excursion; saw lots of amazing birds at the lagoon. Private van picked us up at 6:30am, I think the tour company was "Mama Tava Tours". We paid 500 pesos / person (group of 5 people). Spent a couple of hours at the lagoon; asked...More

We went last night and it was a laughably horrible experience. Way oversold and underdelivered. The guides were pretty nice though.

as the laguna is only like a 20 minhtes drive from the city, its worth it for sure. because of all pictures you first expect more, but for me it was incredible!! The water was glittery when we moved & it was an amazing moment!!

I liked the tour, we bought it in agency on main street. You go 25 min by bus, then take a small boat, and around one hour just watching beautiful views of mangroves and birds. Then you arrive to a spot, where is the ocean...More

Have dinner before getting on a boat and drive around the lagoon looking at birds, watch the sunset then as it gets dark see the plankton in the lagoon. On the way back fish fly at the boat, quite incredible.

I came to puerto escondido mostly for this attraction. I decided to enter one of the tour guide places to book my tour, instead of online. It was only $15usd per person! Totally worth this price. I suggest you to not book online. They pick...More

Came here with a group of 8 for 1/2 day - went around in a motorized boat and enjoyed the sights of many birds and monkeys. Visited a Mexican family living without electricity right on the lagoon for a fresh coconut refreshment, and finished the...More

You can check the lunar calendar to see where your trip falls during the moon cycle. I can not recommend a bioluminescent tour when there is a lot of moonlight, but during the darker 1/2 of the month, others have said it is... More

To hire kayaks, no tour operators are needed, just take a collectivo or taxi to Puesta del Sol lodge/restaurant. Go early, it gets very hot in late morning.

We tried to go in December-just last month, but the algae wasn't lighting up yet. This is what we were told so we didn't go.
