This is right on Maduro. Don't be put off by the guards at the entrance. You sign the book and put in tourist. The murals by Valce are magnificent and well worth seeing.

if you can take a short guided tour to explain the murals they describe the history of the area quite well and it was interesting and informative.

Visit it at night. It's awesome. You can see the murals and from the second floor the cathedral. It is like going back into time. Building looks to be very well maintained and the fact that people have their offices in it is almost romantic.

Literally, this place has Mexico's history painted on the walls. From the independence to around 1968 you may find all relevant characters and actions in beautiful paintings on the staircases.

This building, located on the main square, is lovely. Inside, not atypically of Mexican governmental buildings, are impressive historical murals. These however do not reflect post-revolutionary fervor as they were not installed until the 1960's.

A visit doesn't take long and the building, courtyard, second floor balcony, and murals are well worth it.

I believe the muralist in the Pancho Villa museum is Leandro Carreon (also gleaned from Google). So no, different artist than the Government Palace in Morelia.
