My friend and I booked this trip after we arrived in Rome as a last minute, we happened to make a free day to try to get into a cooking class. We reached out and were able to book on our one free day! It was great to take the train outside of the city for the day, get a... More

My husband and I took the one day class, (He did so somewhat reluctantly, although he's a good sport about trying things). We were not disappointed and both of us felt that was a day trip to remember. The tours of the medieval villages were very personal as Sally and Guido live not far from them. There were three of... By taking this cooking class in the small hilltown of Toffia with Guido and Sally, we were able to show our teen granddaughters another Italy outside Rome. Sally sent us specific directions allowing us to take the train to meet her. She then took us on a brief walking tour of a beautiful old town before taking us to her... More

My boyfriend and I took the one day class. We were in Rome/Florence for 6 days and this was by far our favorite day. We made pasta, artichokes, a dessert, etc all from scratch with local ingredients..I bought olive oil from a farm down the road..They had great wine and espresso..the views from Sally and Guido's home were INCREDIBLE..and we... We really enjoyed the cooking experience: learning to make pasta with Guido and a short sightseeing tour with Sally. Beautiful surrounding just a stone throw north of Rome. Highly recommended for anyone, Italians included. Conviviorome is a nice example of what can be done to promote and preserve local communities and natural environment. In fact practically all products used for... More

We were planning our 40 anniversary to Rome with our adult children and thought it would be fun to do a cooking class, we all love to cook. I had done Convivio Cooking class once before a few years ago with my sisters and we had a ball. I contacted Sally months ago and we started to plan. At first... More

Attending a cooking class and day excursion with Convivio was the highlight of our trip to Rome. We had such an amazing time learning from Sally and Guido, and everything was so well organized and accommodating. We cooked an amazing meal, and our families enjoyed it together. Simply magical. All of this was topped off with a visit to the... More

What a fantastic way to spend a day. Get out of the hustle and bustle of Rome (only 40 minutes by train) and spend a few hours enjoying a time in rural Italy in a real family setting. Sally greets you at the train and then takes you through the country side explaining the local history and agricultural activity. Then... More

Our family loves food so a cooking class in Rome goes without saying. After scouring thru TA and reading about 100 different snipits about all the options that are out there, we chose Convivio Rome...lucky us. After a short (an easy) train ride into the countryside, our host Sally picked us up right at the train station. She gave us... More
