We had a great walk around parts of the estuary. It is beautiful and there were a variety of shore birds and warblers depending on where you were walking. Our hang up was we didn't feel all that safe while walking around some other two...More

Beautiful natural area just beyond the hotel zone. Saw dozens of varieties of birds in a very short period of time.

This was impacted by one of the 2017 hurricanes and is still being cleaned up and repaired - which is actively being done. The birds appear to be coming back.

This sanctuary is a really great walk. There are all sorts of different birds to see in the waterway. It’s a perfect length walk, but you want to do it early morning or late afternoon. Is quite exposed to the sun.

I always love the tranquility of this estuary. I rarely seen anyone else although unfortunately many leave their garbage behind. A river always calms the mind, and this one certainly does. Lots of seabirds such as pelicans. A total contrast to Cabo San Lucas, and...More

Don't waste your time. Recent hurricanes have decimated it. Trees down and not pretty. Lots of better choices in the area.

it is ok to visit for 20 minutes & walk the path. i personally didn't see very much wildlife, it had lots of bugs, & overgrown plants blocked views.

The estuary was flooded at the south entrance to mid-point. I finally found an entrance point mid-way to the north entrance. Peaceful, quiet place to get away from traffic and construction noise. Nice walking trail.

We were walking from our hotel to downtown and got to see a forest fire up close. The bird sanctuary had caught on fire from someone's cooking fire. Burned for many hours and all of Cabo had black soot and dead embers all over.

Depends on your definition of an easy walk. The estuary can be toured from the south-end Holiday Inn side or the north-end San Jose side, but the connection between these two ends is flooded, requiring a long detour between... More
