The square is surrounded by interesting shops and restaurants. Be sure to visit the Catholic Church. Even consider attending Mass on Sunday. We took a bus from our resort, and everyone was very helpful at the resort and in town.

This was our first stop on our day tour... see my Luvis tours review. The mission and square are a perfect place to take in the wonderful history of this region. The people are friendly and helpful... there are plenty of restaurants and gift shops... you can easily spend 2 hours ...if not 3. It is only a scenic 20... More

Had a fantastic time and lots of variety. Buying gifts for family back home. Some shop owners were offended when we tried to barter and called us cheap.

There were modern dancers, artist displays, food carts, and music. We expected much more art than we saw, as even the galleries had more jewelry than ceramics or paintings. It was fun mingling with tourists and locals. Everyone was in a great mood!

The town square is great to visit on Tuesday and Saturday evenings for the artisan craft vendors, and don't miss the tamale lady!
