- wireless_in_CAUnited States4,897 contributionsSo Many YachtsThis was one of the larger marinas that I recall seeing. It hosted not only commercial boats for sightseeing or fishing cruises but also private boats. Rows and rows of boats but also a number of mega yachts that dwarfed others around them. Boats here were constantly on the move in and out of the marina. The marina also had a good number of dockside restaurants and a large shopping mall decorated for Christmas. A similar number of tour and trinket sellers were also wandering around but seemed to be less interested in trying sell me something. A little bit of everything for visitors.Visited December 2022Travelled soloWritten 11 December 2022
- Jennifer CCalgary, Canada38 contributionsWorth a visit. There is lots to see, and many good restaurants but the shops are very pricey for items you can find a few blocks away for 2/3 of the price. Also there are copious amounts of peddles trying to sell you goods, come to their restaurant, or take you on a boat tour of some sort. They are kind but relentless, and there are LOTS of them. Still worth seeing though.Visited January 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 22 January 2023
- ecfackler158 contributionsLoved the marinaWe visited the marina 4 of the 5 days we were in Cabo and loved it. We ate there twice and enjoyed shopping and checking out the area. There were pelicans and sea lions in the area. It was just fun walking around seeing the sights and checking out the little shops in the area.Visited February 2023Written 8 February 2023
- Usia2014Calgary, Canada1,885 contributionsNot just boats here! BBQ grasshoppers, iguanas, pelicans and more.It was fun to stroll along the marina. We enjoyed seeing all the yachts, many with pelicans resting on them, the tour boats and vendors on the boardwalk. One man had crispy, bbq grasshoppers for sale! A woman was charging to pose with her iguanas who had tiny Mexican sombreros on their heads. Others were selling various tours and water taxi rides to the beaches and arches. There are tour kiosks, restaurants and shops and the atmosphere was laid back with lovey scenery.Visited February 2023Written 31 March 2023

Beautiful weather here, picturesque marina with shops and bars.
On the down side when walking around you are constantly hassled by people trying to sell you items/trips/ food etc.

It’s one of the must-do attractions when you come to Cabo. The views of the marina, the mountains in the distance with all the shops, and the overall experience is amazing. We really enjoyed having a pina colada in a coconut then relaxing with a cigar at the Havana lounge right there next to Ruth’s Chris Steak House. Plus they had a mall so you can cool off at the sitting in the hot sun.

We had a wonderful trip! We rented a car from BBB Rentacar, the VW Sportwagon, 2 couples and 5 suitcases fit. It is diesel so really good on fuel mileage. We highly recommend Bbb Rentacar, Ruben was so helpful, and there was no deceit about the insurance. Watch the other car rentals, we heard horror stories. You take a cab to Bbb, but they pay for it and return you to the airport on your way home. Make sure you don’t stop in the airport, so many hawkers who will lie to you and say they are representing BBB Rentacar. Just keep walking and ignore them.

First off it's a big marina ,they've got yachts, fishing boats, taxis ,cruise ships ,pelicans and sea lions that's the good part the bad part everyone looking to sell you something be prepared to say no about 100 times once you enter the boardwalk til you leave the area, there's lots of restaurants, stores on all 3 sides of the docks, if you can't find something then your not in the right spot.

Lively, fun marina! So much to see, eat, and enjoy! Yes, there are plenty of street vendors, but why not go ahead and buy a small item from a few of them? Help out the locals! ❤️

How much is a taxi from the airport to the Tesoro in the marina area? I assume we can get a taxi right out if the airport. Thx
Cameron E

Kind of expensive as it is a flat rate without any room to haggle. Uber can not come into the airport to receive guests. However once you are in the Los Cabos area you can use the Uber option and it is very inexpensive.

Does anyone know if there are taxi boats that run from the marina to Medano Beach and what they charge round trip.

There is water taxis but the marina to Medano beach is a beautiful walk. The closer to marina there was not as many pedlars. Further down about a 20 min walk there’s a market. Very busy

just wondering if there is lighting all night long in the marina while walking around . I have some elderly people visiting they want to confirm that there was proper lighting throughout the marina all night ? If there isn’t lighting all night what would be the reason ?

It has lighting all night long. There are hundreds of Multi-Million dollar yachts at the Marina. There is plenty of lighting and security.

There is everything you will need at the marina. There are hard everywhere so take your pick. The shopping is good and around the eest? end area there are a lot of shops to walk through ( souvenirs mostly) this is a lively place with a lot of people trying to sell you something regarding going on a boat and sightseeing, scuba, etc. Have fun my wife and I did!

Hello,
I will be staying @ Santa Fe next week and have a few questions. Regarding taxi verses water taxi traveling to Marina La Paz. Which would you recommend? How far is the Marina from the hotel? Any suggestions regarding hotel experience? Any excursion company's you recommend?
Thanks,
Kim

Hi, if you're going to use a taxi, i always have the hotel provide one. Ask your hotels concierge which are the best/safe to use. They can or should be able to tell you how much $$ it will cost. The same for the water taxis. we've only used it once but it was a fun and unique way to get where you need to go.

We had rented two cars as we were a group of 10. We parked at the mall and walked. Some people also used Uber.

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to bet a set standard fee. I always suggest to my friends that they use the hotel concierge for the best companies. Also many of them will negotiate, and you can get a much better price, Instead of a per person fee we paid a much lower fee for 4 people. whether or not you want to negotiate/haggle over the fee, ALWAYS settle on a price before accepting the ride or service.

How easy is it to find a deep sea fishing excursion there at the Marina? With so many vendors holding signs and hounding you for an excursion I would think you could get a better DEAL there vs peebooking. Yes? No? Thoughts? What is the average price for booking at the marina?

a good deal is $570 for 6 people on a descent size boat, try bargain them, But you won't get better then $500
PS this includes beers and drinks
