More than rocks
Oct 2019
This local museum gives a good historical introduction to Baja California and considers some challenges, such as water, within a world-wide context. In addition to traditional cultural displays including the woman donor there aare many video stations. There is no gift shop or cafe, but the plaza in front has shade and trees. Although only several blocks away from the busy harbor, this quiet museum is worth a visit.

Excellent Baja peninsula Rock display
Aug 2019 • Solo
Surprisingly thorough. They were actually English descriptions. Very nice and cool inside. Fantastic display of rock types at various locations on the Baja peninsula. there's a diagram of the peninsula labeled with letters. Each type of rock, found at different locations on the peninsula, are actually sitting on the table below the diagram..

Great little museum chock full of local culture & artifacts. Very quiet & cool for a hot & humid morning excursion. We loved it!

Gallant effort but needs refurbishment
Dec 2018 • Solo
I was interested in mixing up my vacation and having a break from the beach and pool. The Natural History mueseum costs $2 donation to enter. It is a self guided tour that takes approx 45 mins. Some of the displays are in English, but not all. I was most interested in learning about the Cabo natives and founding fathers. But the information is sparse and the overall museum needs to be refurbished. Makes me appreciate the high tech and interactive museums in the U. S. Not sure this museum is worth the trip.

Small Museum. Worth a Visit in Cabo
Feb 2018 • Couples
Excellent displays and even separate boards in English for tourists. We only allowed ourselves 35 minutes but we could have stayed a lot longer. Well worth a visit and donation in Cabo San Lucas

Walk in history
Nov 2017 • Friends
We went to the museum on a weekday, it opened at 10 AM.

Admission was by donation for a worthy cause - education. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

The displays range in quality and information some appearing quite new while others are in need of some curatorship. Unfortunately, we all know this requires time & money.

Most displays have English and Spanish descriptions, which was greatly appreciated.

Keep up the great work:)

Small museum in the heart of Cabo San Lucas
Nov 2017 • Friends
Walked through this exhibit of the natural history of the Cabo region and how the earthquake plates are moving. There are signs in English and it's fairly cool inside.

Neat little museum - great way to spend an afternoon
Jun 2017 • Friends
Wandered in and was amazed that the cost of admission is only $1! The museum ended up being way larger than we thought, and starts waaay back with a history of the entire universe!! Also ties in Mayan culture and legends with the formation of the stars. As you follow the route you are given a tour of the formation of the world, the first humans, indigenous culture and customs, then move onto local biology and history. There is even English note cards in most of the displays for travellers who are not proficient in Spanish! Even with basic Spanish you can get the gist of most of the displays.

Its clear the place could use a bit of an update and extra funds for maintenance and staff, but it was a nice change from all the flashy tourist attractions of Cabo San Lucas. An afternoon well spent.
