We took the public bus from just past the mall and asked the driver to drop us at Playa Chileno. We speak little Spanish but he got it. Cost me 140 pesos for 5 people. Walked down to the beach. Based other reviews we knew...More

We took a taxi to this beach which cost >$30 each way. The beach was hot, there was no cover anywhere to be found and there were a lot of bees. The water was rough and not clear at all, so we were not able...More

We are staying in San Jose del Cabo on a beautiful 8 mile beach. The waves put on quite a show here. Unfortunately, even when the waves are calm the white wash produces quite a pull. Not many visitors have been bold enough to swim...More

We stopped at this beach while we were on our yacht tour. It looked like a great beach to swim and enjoy, but the snorkeling wasn't great. We were able to see lots of fish right up next to the rocks, but were told by...More

Beachfront property being built, so previous reviews suggesting shade are now inaccurate. There is no shade! Constant coming and going of tour excursions are the only drawback.

We spent the taxi money ($25-$30 one way) to spend a few hours here. It's not worth the trouble in my opinion. Rough sand, rough waves, lots of snorkeling tours blocking the ocean view (the boats come in pretty close to shore). Not a quiet...More

We spent a Sunday afternoon, relaxing on this beautiful beach, surrounded mostly by locals and their families, which was awesome! We are avid snorkelers, and decided to try on our own, versus paying for one of the snorkel boat tours, and do not think we...More

Go here for snorkeling, but don't get too close to the rocks. If you take a boat trip that offers snorkeling, kayaking, and paddleboard... chances are good that this is the place they will take you.

We visited this beach because the pictures we had seen on-line showed "Palapas" that were reserved specifically for handicapped. Our hotel had warned us that the hurricane a couple of years ago had pretty much destroyed all of their facilities. My son is handicapped and...More

I can't tell what company actually conducts these tours. Or is TripAdvisor in the tour business themselves? It reads that way, but I thought they were an impartial forum for recommendations from travelers.

You can get a taxi to take you here, no need for a tour co. Bring everything you need as there are no services here.

Does anyone recommend any good and reliable transportation from the paradisus resort, to Chileno beach? I do not want to pay for a tour and would rather have the flexibility of going on my own. I for sure would not like to get stuck on the beach due to unreliable transportation and a language barrier. Thanks!
