This is a great art centre with four galleries around a central courtyard. We attended a packed opening. The exhibits were very good. Apparently the place was created originally by a wealthy local woman as a residence for nuns.

Hola, Be sure to visit the Bellas Artes specifically to see the unfinished mural (fresco) by David Siquirios, one of Mexico’s big three muralists. You may have to ask the guard to open the cavernous vault that the mural occupies. The power of the work...More

We've attended many activities here over the years and will continue to do so. Some lectures/classes have been better than others but it is an easy site to find.

I thought the history of the building and the building itself were beautiful. I thought the murals painted on the walls were exceptional!
