This is a hidden gem with a beautiful dune to climb for an amazing view of the lake. Great beach combing as well.

As I passed the Pleasant Beach Campground, I noticed that my destination was straight ahead. I parked my car, greeted a man with his son and headed to the beach. There was a boardwalk, which was mostly hidden by sand. I noticed that there was a fence on both sides. That didn’t look good! The beach was quite small, but... More

For years you could park on Pleasant Beach Rd, but now the City has a parking ban except for a few spots near the sand dune. The place is checked several times a day and parking tickets are given out is you are not in a marked spot. This is not a City beach and does not have any facilities.... More

Our family decided to head for the beach to enjoy some R&R. Most of us had never been there before but our daughter who lives in the area had so she chose to take us. The sky was cloudy but the weather was warm so a perfect day. We arrived and settled in but didn't go into the water because... More

Came across this beach in error. Was going to Crystal beach but was told there is no BBQing or Alcohol allowed there so drove to see what else there was. This place is about 5 mins from Crystal beach and what a gem it is. There are issues though. -No changing facilities(use your car or wear your suit under clothes)... More

The only parking is on other people's property, or in a sand dune, or near the garbage and filthy port a potty. Hike up the dune and be squeezed between cement blocks and barbed wire, or a steel fence. about 60 feet of beach. No place to wash or change. On the day I was there, a man with his... More

There is no parking and the portapotty is filthy. Garbage all over the beach that people leave. I would stay away and go to Crystal Beach where there is plenty of parking or Nickel Beach where there is picnic areas. I also heard Centenial Park is lovely and all three of these places are close to Sherkston Beach.

The view of lake erie here is beautiful. The walkway built by the local nature club to protect the natural grass habitat is very nice to walk on ..the beach is natural but gorgeous. The parking can be tricky, there are only a few spots near the end of the road. Don't go to far into the sand..many have been... More

Pleasant Beach is located at the southern end of Pleasant Beach Road, off Highway #3. We've been here many times & in every season...whether it's with the dog, a afternoon picnic, a sunset walk or simply a relaxing stroll. We also snapped some great pictures of kite surfers during the summer months and ice formations during the winter months. A... More

This beach is truly a hidden gem, clean and clear. And not too far away from home. Recommend visiting with families and couples.
