Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely beach just south of the Maya preserve. It is filled with local families, kids, volley ball, boats, etc. We had a great day enjoying the atmosphere and almost avoiding the incessant music blasted on the more southerly beaches. While we still paid for an umbrella and a spot on the sand, it was considerably cheaper than the in-town beaches.
Beautiful.
Be careful, my daughter was allergic to the seaweed which apparently happens to those with sensitive skin.

In my opinion one of the nicesr beach areas in Tulum. Nice white sand and boue water; really feels like paradise. Just make sure to visit when there is no seagrass ;)

Not too crowded, very nice sand, restaurants available. Parking is a bit of a problem but is available for a cost.

Really bad experience in Tulum Mexico!
Arrived in Downtown Tulum, asked for a taxi ride to Playa Paraiso.
500 pesos one way. The taxi drivers are really shooting for the stars.
Same distance in Playa del Carmen -- 100 pesos.
Ok. Arrived in Playa Paraiso -- 300 pesos to sit on a chair on the beach.
That's creepy!!!
But ok. Overwhelming heat. Go to a restaurant there to hide from the sun.
500 pesos for a dish of shrimp and mussels, cooked to death.
In a scorching heat.
People!!!
Are you serious???
THIS ????? For tourism????
If you are still in doubt, your return taxi ride is another 500 pesos. There is nothing else to ride on.
Seriously, wake up and stay away of this hell hole.

This is a "public" beach but you have to pay for chairs if you don't want to sit on the sand. And there isn't much clean sand at the time of writing. Unfortunately, this beach is practically unenjoyable thanks to the sargassum problem.

This beach is worth a visit on a day trip but not much more. It has a wide sweep of white sand on it's seaweed strewn beach. The water isn't bad but can be a bit choppy.
You can still have a nice day out here, but i would advise people to head for Laguna Kaan Luum for shallower, prettier, swimmable waters with far fewer people.

If you look out at the water instead of the development behind you this place is breathtaking. Such amazing colors!

See it while you can. This used to be something truly spectacular and development takes it away bit by bit. I don't know what we're going to hand down to the next generation but nothing too great. This is still a wonder to see and unlike all of the fake spiritual garbage floating around in Tulum now marketing to Californians or whatever, sitting here for an afternoon with some water and and sandwich and letting that blue color seep into your brain can actually heal you at least for a day and it won't cost you anything.
