Loved this trip. It was quite long but we'll worth it to see dolphins and turtles in the wild rather than in a marine park!

Me and 6 family members went yesterday to this tour but we chose to go in speedboats instead of jeeps. First, at the booking they told us we could go 7 on a speedboat, that was a lie, we had to separate the family and go with unknown people, which was not pleasant but wasn't such a big deal anyway.... Our guide picked us up at our hotel to a place where everyone meets. There we were placed in groups of four. The guides spoke many languages and were easy to follow. When we got our jeep we were told to follow and stay close together. The road to get to Punta Ellen is very bumpy, and I'm glad that... More

took the tour booked through Royal Resorts. Tour director was knowledgeable, had boats waiting for us down the road. As with many group tours, this was time driven and not open to spontaneity. Tour boats were helpful and fun, had lunch in Punta Allen, not a fancy buffet, but very good.

Started off in an open truck, down a very uneven road along the Tulum beach road,to the beach and got loaded on to our speed boats which only carry 6 people, we zoomed of to the mangroes and saw lot of different birds on 3 different islands, then we saw the turtles swimming out at sea, we then came across... Disorganized, broken vehicles, delayed start - 2-1/2 hours bombing around in a small boat with six hard plastic seats through rough, jarring open water, trying to keep our cameras dry while we raced around with a herd of other boats when the radio said a dolphin or sea turtle was spotted. Everyone converged on a group of dolphins and much... More
