Devin was phenomenal -- very knowledgeable, personable, patient, fun, and engaging experienced instructor. Highly recommend this dive shop and Devin to my friends. Of all the instructors I have had, with triple digits dives, Devin is one of the top in every category. Thanks again!

HI. My husband and I are celebrating 20 years married in Playa del Carmen the first week of May. so exciting!! He has always wanted to learn to scuba dive and I have probably held him back because he is not the strongest swimmer and I get really anxious and am a little afraid I will freak out below the water. We did do a introduction lesson one time at a resort and initially I kind of hyperventilated until the instructor threw a penny in the pool and made me go get it. I guess I was concentrating on breathing a little too much. ANYWAY...the reason for this long explanation is that I want to give to him as a surprise gift the lessons and a dive or two. And I really want to learn to do it too. What are your thoughts? Do you train a lot of apprehensive new divers? Do you pick up from Grand Palladium Resort? Do you recommend we do it the first part of our trip or near the end? we will be there 7 nights. Thank you for your help. oh and, I am white with irish blood (easily burn) but I hear you cannot wear sunblock, what can I do so as to not fry myself on my special trip?
