I decided to join Adventures Mexico's private tour to visit several Mayan sites (Uxmal, Kabah, Sayil, Labna and X'lapak) which are challenging to cover in a day trip without own private transport as I decide to see south of Merida after visit some of the popular site like Chitzen Itza. The experience with Adventures Mexico was great from the beginning... More

We had an experienced and friendly guide in Suri, who maneuvered us through the market, made sure we tasted local food, and showed us how to purchase what we would need for our cooking experience. Riding the local bus was also part of our adventure as we a visit to the cocina of her mother. We made a great meal... More

Our market tour and cooking class were a highlight of our trip to the Yucatan. Our guide, Suri, was knowledgeable, friendly, informative, and spoke excellent English. We are both fairly avid home cooks, and we still learned a great deal from the market tour. Cooking with Suri (and her charming mother) was a blast, and the meal we made was... More

This was a true Mexican experience. We met our guide/chef, Suri, and walked to the 2 largest markets. She introduced us to food we had never before seen, and shopped for the ingredients for the day's lunch. Then through the maze of streets to catch the local bus to Suri's mother's house. The bus ride was an experience in itself.... More

Excellent experience, Suri and her mother are so warm and friendly. We, a group of 5 had a fantastic time. We recommend this tour to everyone as you will be more knowledgeable in your choice of meals. We feel like part of their family, so grateful for being welcomed into their home.

My GF and I went to three different cantinas which explore the evolution of the concept from simple men's only watering holes, to ones that include the family and now its present day hipster incarnation. Our guide, Ruben, was very informative and a fun guy to hang out with.

The first part of this activity consists of a tour of the market. In the market, we shopped for the ingredients for the food that we were going to cook. Suri also bought some samples of local food for us to try. It was a really great experience to see the local market, and I wish that we did this... More

This tour is great if you want to experience the true local food. We visited places we'd have probably never found without our awesome guide José's help. It's was very interesting to see how the locals eat and where and how they buy their food. The food tasted fantastic and the impressions were great.

We had a wonderful time with Suri on our walking tour of the Merida markets. She was so much fun as she helped us buy wonderful fruits for our upcoming breakfasts. We tried many different tastes at the markets. She added bits of history and traditions as we wandered. Lunch was a real treat as she ordered a great variety... More

My husband and I only had one full day in Merida, and since we always enjoy food tours, we decided to give this one a shot. It turned out to be a great choice! Jose met us promptly at 10:30 am and we headed off to the main market. There is no way we would have been brave enough to... More
