It's a big avenue with a lot of amazing and representative buildings of the city, some of them are museums or restaurants. I recommend to walk during the afternoon, because it's not too hot than midday. Also, you can rent a bike and spent some...More

What a pleasure to wander the park-like main boulevard in Merida. Tree-lined, old casonas snuggled with businesses, horse drawn carriages mingling with modern cars, a few museums, bring to life the beauty of this vibrant city called Merida, The White City.

Fun place to walk and eat! Go on Sunday mornings when they close off half the street for bikes, rollerblades and skateboarders. Many dog walkers, families strolling and artists & vendors til 12:30. Wonderful experience!

Former mansions of Yucatán aristocracy converted to businesses dot this boulevard. Much of the history of the area traces back to this area. Monuments and roundabouts give visitors opportunities for photos. Take a horse and buggy ride after dark and enjoy the lights!
