Photo-worthy along the whole route. Absolutely beautiful colonial buildings. City closes down part of the paseo on Sunday for family bike riding. Plenty of restaurants. Very dog friendly. Immaculately clean.

Amazingly beautiful paseo with a view of the most antique and well preserved houses more than 100 years old.

Shady sidewalks with many "palacetes" (small palaces from early XX century) on Sunday they close two lanes of the Paseo MOntejo to allow bicycles and roller skates to use the venue. Lots of inhabitants of Merida show up to exercise or just to walk around.

if you ever visit Yucatan, you must visit Paseo Montejo. It is very old and colonial, yet very modern with shops, banks, cafes and restaurants. Imagine Starbucks and McDonald's in old colonial building. Must see.

There are.4 big (former) mansions at the S end that are quite spectacular, but the rest seems to just be a shopping street with, amongst all things, a a Walmart! Bicycle rental on Sundays requires the deposit of a Passport or Driver's Licence - neither of which I was prepared to do.

The Paseo is a lovely broad avenue with some interesting monuments and impressive colonial era buildings. It can be disappointing that more than a few of the old mansions are in ruins, but the walk was worth it and the museums are out this way.

This area is a must, has magnificent building which are well kept. Shows the rich side of Merida as well as the historic park. Better if wlaked and can be done with a tour. I will highly recommend the Gua-Gua tour for it and more of Merida.

You can take a very nice walk through this avenue, take a sorbete (ice-cream) and have a very nice talk in a very relax atmosphere. It is worth the visit
