The building is beautiful and the murals are fabulous we loved how they tell the story of the Mayan people it was really educational. A must see while in Merida.

Visited today with our 9 yr old daughter. She enjoyed seeing the many murals which depicted the history of the Mayan people. Well worth a visit.

Its right on main square and free to enter, so well worth a visit. The bldg itself is attractive, the many murals fabulous, and the 'reception hall' upstairs stunning.

The paintings in the huge upstairs hall are a gem, and so are all the paintings on the wall of the palace. The view on the centrral square is so nice...

The palacio has a tourism office on the ground floor and inside is full of oil pairings by the local artist Fernando Castro Pacheco, the paintings portray the Maya history and the Spanish and Catholics invasion. Free entry

It was rebuilt in 19th century to original archetectural specs. Famous murals were painted in the 1970's. A must see if your going to Merida
