Highly recommend this beach. Awesome sand and water. Best beach on the island. Lots of restaurants close by.

Such a pretty place on this planet!! Beautiful soft white sand. Clear turquoise water. You can walk a long way and the view is stunning. Stop and hang out at one of the resorts along the way. They require you to either rent their lounges or spend a minimum of 200 or so pesos. Worth it to prolong the view... More

There's many reasons this beach is rated one of the best. The beach is clean, the water is warm and it is walking depth way over 200 feet from shore. Most days it is not very busy and it is just plain relaxing. Plenty of chairs and beds to rent for the day. And plenty of great margaritas and food... More

Simply put you can't get a better beach. Vast open white sand opening to a calm sea that is very shallow along the coast. We enjoy taking in the sun, cooling off with a cold beverage, and playing in the water. Lots of places to buy food and drinks. Can rent chairs, umbrellas, and beds at some locations.

We have visited for 1-2 week vacations for many years and love it. This year we were very aware of the increase in the number of people staying and/or coming in droves for day trips from the mainland. Still very nice but not sure how long it will be able to maintain the special laid-back island charm.

very nice beach, you can wade out really far and the water is still shallow enough to stand up but deep enough to be enjoyable. even with hundreds of people in the water it doesn't feel crowded. clear as a swimming pool.

If you're going to visit Isla Mujeres, you must try to stay on this beach. Very few waves, shallow water, powdery sand!!! If you can't stay in a motel on this beach, you MUST VISIT NORTH BEACH /'aka: PLAYA NORTE
