Isla Mujeres Museum Capitan Dulche. This Museum is dedicated in loving memory of Captain Ernesto Dulche Escalante, founder or the 5th Naval Region (Isla Mujeres). Captain Dulche´s Maritime Museum treasures a big part of Isla Mujeres history, this is documented in a great photo collection of over 150 that have never been seen before. The Museum also contains an excellent collection of anchors, buoys, chains and lanterns, maritime tools and two projection rooms, showing one video of the famous mexican diver Ramon Bravo and the even more famous Jacques Cousteau. It also has the largest collection of model ships and metates in the whole mexican caribbean.

We stopped here on a whim on our golf carts. (Plus we had "bar cards"). This place is excellent. It's nice to get away from the packed beaches. The views are incredible and Dario serves up the best Pina Coladas on the isla. Can't wait to get back!

Never been before, heard it was nice. This place has much potential it,s crazy. Wonderful location with beautiful views. When we were there it looked abandoned, except for a couple of workers building a palapa! Has very clean restrooms also no food was being served.

Stopped here while out walking. This place looks like that at one time it may have been a great place to spend the day. Now, however, it is run down and worn. There were no waiters and we had to go to the bar and order our drinks from the single bar tender. Water out front has a weedy, mucky... More

We have been here a number of times. It's out of the hussle and bussle and kind of private. The beach is beautiful, the drinks and service are outstanding. Give this place a try.... It's worth the trip!

When you've had enough of the crowded beaches in town come here. Quiet beautiful place to spend a few hours or the afternoon. Rent a golf cart for the day or take a cab here

We stopped in one day to check out the bar which is in an old ship, and the museum. It was 2 for 1 on some drinks and the chairs were free. Nice beach with lots of chairs in a quiet area. We met people at the bar and got chatting which was nice. Relaxed atmosphere here. There is a... More

We stopped in on our "map chick" golf cart tour...glad we did. Nice beach with tons of chairs in an accessible and quiet area of the island's shore (not all are). Great pier to wander around on and watch the pelicans and seagulls. Nice bar with good service.

This is a beautiful setting, and I have been there in previous years. However, this year they were not serving food, and the museum was closed during high season. Drinks were still good. Don't know what's going on with this location. Would be a shame to see if close.

This place has such potential that is seen online from pictures I guess taken quite a while back. The palapas were run down and in disarray. The beach was full of seaweed and dirty. We did have drinks there from a ver curious bartender, but was told they no longer do food by him.
