Beautiful Island

We rented a golf cart and explored the island, lots to do and see. Great day and hope to go back some day.

Punta Sur has a beautiful view but I don't think it's worth paying the entrance fee to walk around the sculptures as you can see them fine from the hill. The restaurant is in a beautiful spot but I overheard people talking that it's a little pricey.

This is a paid entry park. The cost is low so we still found it worthwhile. There are walkways along the water to the point as well as stairs down to walkways along the waters edge. We had a five year old with us who thought the caves were scary but cool and we made up pirate stories that kept... More

The end of the Island is the most awesome site to visit. Please go to the bathroom before getting there as it will cost you. You do not need to pay the 3.00 to walk to the end because it all is beautiful. Eat at Mango Café prior as you cannot afford to eat at the end restaurant.

I visited this island back in December 2008. To get there, you take a ferry in cancun. It's about 30 to get there..OncE there, you find a nice tourist place where you have shops. The beach is nice, one of the most beautiful I have seen. You can go around the island on a bike, taxi which along the way... More

Rent a golf cart and go to Punta Sur. Stop and have something to drink or eat and enjoy the most beautiful view of the water from the island. It is hard to leave.

Great place to take a walk, wonderful paths leading down near the water. This is the eastern most point of Mexico (where the sun first touches Mexico in the morning). There is a small entry fee to get down to the point, Kind of an interesting modern sculpture garden on the walk down to the Mayan ruin.

Absolutely stunning beach, clear blue waters and white sand! Stopped here as part of an excursion, first the lagoon, then lighthouse, then beach! Absolutely worth it! Food during the excursion wasn't the best but the view and beach made up for it!

If you're in Isla Mujeres, and it's at all practical, come here. The dramatic rocky seascape and the old temple ruins that give the island its name are very striking, and also there's now a bit of a sculpture park with works by local artists. The bar and cafe on the grounds isn't half bad either! Warning, with the ocean... More

We spent a few hours exploring the paths and taking pictures. Amazing views! Beautiful blue water and the contrast between the rough outer coast and calm inner. You can explore caves, get down to the water level and get a more untouched view of the island then elsewhere. A must for anyone visiting the island.
