Get off the beaten tourist trail, and just do this!

Renting a car seems essensial to explore the island of Cozumel. We stopped at Mezcalitos just to have a look, the ocean on this side of the island is a bit rougher and the beach isn't top notch. But you get the beach to yourself after just a short walk which is something you cant get many places at Cozumel.... More

So....the island has the bulk of its most popular places on west side of the island, but Mezcalitos shouldn't be missed. Excellent margaritas, and a beautiful sand beach that has gorgeous rock structures, which ALSO features shade and super comfy hammocks....well....you can easily while away the hours here. Easily found by taking the road that cuts the island in half... More

We had a really nice lunch of fresh shrimp, fish and Octopus ceviche, with shrimp tacos and good cold beer. Beautiful blue ocean and sky with a nice breeze made the stress melt away. The food was really good and the staff was very friendly we had a nice song played for us by a local mariachi duo and a... More

stopped by while driving around the island. First time I have been here but was with someone that has been here several times. Not much to it. Kind of dumpy. I was told it used to be very kept up with great food. Now it doesn't look like it would be wise to try any food.

A group of friends rented jeeps and we drove around the island one afternoon. We stopped here for a couple of beers and to walk along the beach. Its nothing special but you can sit in a hammock with a beer in hand while you look out at the ocean. Can't complain about that!

Located on west side of Cozumel. Nice little restaurant and bar with beach access. We spent the day here. We had a nice meal and great drinks while here.

We always make the trip to the other side of the island to visit this place. It's a perfect location to enjoy a beer and a burger and a hammock while enjoying the beautiful surf and beach.
