We loved walking through here and the central area had water sprinklers going - which was great to cool off! The Cozumel sign is wonderful for pictures. It was very clean and we bought lots of fun things (shoes, shirts, jewelry, cover ups, etc.). We are used to pushy vendors, but say no and keep walking if you aren't interested.... More

Be sure to visit on Sunday evening when the local families come out to celebrate! It is an event for the locals, sot tourists (although of course many tourists attend). Music, vendors, just a great way to experience local culture.

Great place to shop or eat at a restaurant, and many evenings I believe they have music or dancers. Very clean, and beautiful fountains , and the shop vendors are not "pushy" . Very close to the cruise terminals, so LOTS of people here, but less in the evening.

Loved this place with the quiet fountains and the locals! Just walk along and enjoy! Good churros! You can see the children enjoying at night

Fortunately, we caught a group of about 5 or 6 break dancers, who were performing on the Plaza Central one evening. They were A-ma-zing!!! If you happen to see them, do stick around. We gawked at their perormance for 20 minutes or more. Our shopping excursion extended to the side streets and north of the plaza, which I also recommend.

The Plaza is generally very clean with the main street along the shoreline crammed with stores ranging from typical tourist souvenir shops to high end jewelry stores, both local and chain companies. The side streets between the waterfront and the main plaza are mostly locally owned. The Plaza itself is very open and clean surrounded by larger buildings and small... More

I like this place. Nice clean atmospher. Try and get there in the morning though because everyone shops here after thier excursions and the place gets PACKED insanely. I know that's hard becuse you don't want to take your goods with you, but depending on what you're buying, it is such a difference in shopping. But I was happy here... More

This is a good place to start a day in town. There are benches where you can people watch and street vendors on three sides of the square. The square is immediately east of the ferry terminal.

Great place to pick up souvenirs. There are a variety of shops to choose from. My wife picked up a beautiful silver ring with matching earrings.

Plaza Central is a nice place to sit and people watch. During the day I take old bread with me and feed the pigeons. During he evening and night the water park that is located in the center will sometimes play music and lights change to the beat as the water sprays up. Its very awesome to see. There are... More
