We, a small family group from 20's to 80's were honoured to spend a dinner at the Chabad (Hannukah). We were welcomed so warmly by the amazing Rabbi and his lovely wife and also by all of those who attended . There was enthusiasm and a very positive vibe which was contagious. What struck me perhaps the most was how open and welcoming the young people in their 20's and 30's were from all over the world who were present with a genuine interest in others. The food was remarkable to say the least . The Chabad is a gathering place which among other functions serves lunches and Sabbath dinner . If you are fortunate as we were go and experience the Chabad which will leave an indelible an appreciation for place and people .

Chabad is awesome, and this Chabad is awesomest! When you walk in, you are greeted as if everyone were anxiously anticipating your arrival. Huge hug, welcome home! Have some coffee, water, cake. Then come over to a huge board and we'll help you arrange your attractions. As someone in Playa del Carmen told me, get yourself the Chabad of Cozumel bracelet and you basically own the island. They helped make reservations, gave directions, and showed genuine care and warmth. Prayers three times a day, a delicious Jerusalem restaurant on site (huge portions). We actually had a medical scare at 1am and as US citizens we were really lost and worried, we called Chabad and guys came over to bring medicine and it all worked out. Cared for us like we were family.

We never travel to Cozumel without stopping by to visit the Chabad Cozumel yellow building. We always receive a warm welcome from the staff there, and it makes us feel good to be there.

We had a day in Cozumel as part of our cruise. Visited Chabad; the rabbi’s first words were “Welcome Home”. So warm& inviting! They have several restaurants, a gift shop& a comfortable place to just sit and hang out. Be sure to visit!
