This is a great reef for photography of coral. Very large coral formations with swim throughs and large overhangs. Can go deep or shallow to observe the coral. Many large lobsters and crabs as well.

This reef and its abundant sea life and coral where absolutely amazing. The crystal blue water allowed for unbelievable visibility regardless of being on surface or when diving down. The crew from Chac Chuc tours were excellent. I would definitely return to experience the reef...More

Have dived this site dozens of times; lovely! Please avoid crevices or swim throughs if your buayancy is not good - too many unaccomplished divers are hurting the coral

Great swim throughs - divers should have excellent buoyancy control and smaller groups. Healthy reef system thats very hard to beat!

I love this dive. It is a wonderful reef and easy dive. If you are diving here this is one to try . I love almost every dive in Cozumel , this has swim throughs and lots of nice coral. Fish are plentiful

In a reef system famous for beautiful swim-throughs, Columbia Deep has some of the longest and most beautiful. This and the very similar Punta Sur are two of my favorite dives on the island. Two things you should know: it is a longish boat ride...More

Another must see trip off the cruise boat. Very crowded port - again- many ships docked. Hot, muggy May weather- wear tank top and especially comfortable shoes. DO NOT dress up- bathing suit/tank top and backpack.

Columbia Reef is a nice reef with a variety of dive sites. There is quite the variety of marine life, and the formations were stunning

While there was "less" swimming life readily available to see on this dive the coral was spectacular. Swimming in and out and through the coral was an experience I will not forget. How often do you get to be face to face inches from a...More

You must take a boat. Columbia is too far south, and you must rent a boat. There are plenty of them!
