Hard to find new information about the history of Mexico after visiting this country for over 5 years but we still make attempts at supporting small museums, etc. The only part, new to us was about the reef formation and how to better protect it....More

This museum provided an interesting history of the island and its local culture. The tour is given in Spanish or English, while the tour guides are will informed and talkative. It has a replica of a Mayan hut you can walk in.

A nice little museum that provides a good overview of Cozumel, including the geography of the island, Mayan history, Spanish conquest and then more recent events, like occasional hurricanes that have flattened everything on the island.

This museum has 4 galleries. You can do all four in under an hour. Has some,interesting items and some not so much.
