The museum is interesting, in the hotel zone, and not expensive. We really enjoyed walking around the ruins outisde.

My family and I visited the museum for the first time and we discovered so many things from history to culture and even art. It was a wonderful experience not just for us as adults but for our younger family members.

The Museo Maya de Cancun has an excellent history of the region where the Hotel Zone now stands. In addition to the museum, you can go outside to uncovered ruins found between the Royal Caribbean and Kukulcan Blvd.

Although a small museum, it has alot to offer. Located right on Kukalcan Blvd, so easy to reach by bus. A must see when you are in Cancun.

this is very easy to go to yourself, a bus stops right outside, and really cheap to get in...no need for expenses excursions, pretty well kept grounds, with lots of iguannas sunbathing

Many nice pieces to look at. But, since all descriptions are only in Spanish language, I had no idea what I am looking at. Probably a million tourists from English speaking countries had the same experience. Overall, we had a good time in this peaceful...More

Rainy at the beach, so visited the museum. What a pleasant surprise! Very well presented, and visually impressive. Walk around the trail to see the ruin was also excellent. Wish the tags for artifacts were printed in English, but main explanations were done so. We...More

It should be about a 15 minute drive. Note that you'll need to go past and make a u-turn at one of their turn-around spots when you go there. I do not think they have a snack bar, however the museum is small and you will be... More

Sorry, we do not know if there are guides or not. We do recall that English language signage has improved since the first year.
