We booked this on recommendation of our hotel - The Ritz Carlton. They should be ashamed of themselves. This was not even close to the experience I paid for and not even close to any experience I've had on other snorkeling trips. The boat was newer and clean. The crew was accommodating and tried hard to make the trip nice.... More

Albatross Charters Platinum service aboard El Jefe was so awesome! First the boat is amazing!! Then the crew were all so professional and fun! The captain did such a great job sailing her, it was awesome to see him dock her!! Luis is the funniest best MC ever! Not to mention George ( the bartender) who always provided delicious beverages... OK... Starters.. The trip started out OK. We sailed through the Caribbean until our first stop to snorkel, and this is where it gets bad. Snorkeling was so crowded and rushed that no one enjoyed it at all. The guide was terrible, everyone was kicked in the face, etc etc. The island was beautiful and so was north beach. We... More

Went on a group trip the first time and everything was great. The service and attention to detail was amazing. They made sure everyone had fun and that you always had a drink in your hand. From the captain to the mates to the director everyone was genuine in their kindness. When the passengers have fun, so do they. On... More

At 1st we were very disappointed, we were told only about 30 people would be on the catamaran but when we got to the boat, there was about 80 and way over crowded. so we were just going to get our money back, but then MANNY was our saving grace! we got on a smaller boat with about 15 people... Took a Catamaran trip with these guys. They like to sell upgrades, but don't offer any extras for the money. Upgrade gets wifi, but it doesn't work. Upgrade also includes drink at lunch. Had to ask twice to get a soda. Since we don't drink alcohol, they really don't have anything but water. Don't waste your money going anywhere with... More

Watch out for the guys on the corners selling excursions. Albatros pays a good "finders fee" to fill their boats. Then you get to the dock and it's sell, sell, sell. The Platinum gets you more space on a smaller boat and waiter service. So many people checking in at one time, it was a mad house. Continental breakfast =... More

We were never told until too late about the Platinum upgrade, as 25 people would have been better than 70. Our catamaran, Gypsy Breeze, was designed unsafely for boarding and unboarding, not to mention rougher seas for most passengers. Although mooring was available at the snorkeling site, our captain chose to sail around while 60 people were in the water... More

Boat was clean. Due to the weather the sea was far to choppy to go snorkelling but they took us out anyway. Didn't see much as I was trying to stay with the group. On Isla Mujeres you can hire golf carts to get around the island we only had an hour and 30 mins to do a small trip... More
