Don't waste your time visiting Donna Rosa Studio in San Bartolo unless you just want to see historical photos of the late potter who "invented" barre negro. You will find a better and more varied collection in almost any of the galleries or co-op shops...More

I loved to see the tradition of the grandmother being passed to grandsons. He gave us an explanation, presentation and the history of the 'black barro'. Beautiful pieces of art. Cheap prices.

If you're interested in the crafts of black pottery, that's the place. Many pictures of Doña Rosa meeting different celebrities and politicians are displayed in the walls, her work continues in the family hands. Interesting pieces for very good price.

Dona Rosa was an original and accomplished ceramic artist. The studio and shop were fascinating ,and there is a history of her and her work in photo's and written articles. It's a very large studio and ceramic sales area with nice pottery to purchase.
