As soon as I walked into this church I was absolutely starstruck. All the gold blew me away! When I went, there was a service in progress so I had to wait a little bit before being able to walk closer. When visiting this church just know that people still attend this church so please be respectful. Overall very beautiful... More

The Santo Domingo is one of the oldest and best preserved of the large churches in downtown Mexico City. Step in and another world awaits from the noise and crowds outside. This is the church used for many important occasions by Mexican government and cultural figures, and when you visit you will see why.
