We actually saw the Lucha Libre at Arena Coliseo. I have never watched Mexican wrestling (except in the movie Nacho Libres) or WWE. Some friends had bought tickets and we joined them. We brought the kids ages 16 and 12. We had a blast. While it is clear that it is all staged, it is very entertainment. I haven't laughed... More

Tonight, Saturday, we watched Luche Libre at the smaller Arena Coliseo. It was a blast. For only like $175 MEX you can great seats in the front 5 rows and the wresters from time to time end up flying into the front seats and interacting with the crowd. The wrestlers were actually very acrobatic and athletic and all their moves... More

Yes, going to the "Lucha libre" show is quite an unusual experience for many, and worth to try for more. But what really makes sense is to take the TURILUCHAS to go to see the lucha libre show (similar to WWE, but less talk and more pirouettes). This hop-on hop-off bus takes you from Reforma 222 and goes around this... More

What can I say that hasn't been said before? One of the best experiences you can have on a trip to DF is a lucha libre fight at Arena Mexico. We went on a Tuesday night, technically calmer and not as high profile but we didn't want it to be too crazy with our kids. That said, it was a... More

Went on a Friday night, didn't need to buy tickets in advance (they seemed to sell them by price, rather than section at the window so its probably worth a little advance research if your Spanish isn't great). Such a fun time watching the shows. Plenty of vendors with beers and snacks walking around the whole time.

People will haggle you when you get there but just say No and purchase your ticket at the window. I got my ticket for $170 peso for row 16. Friendly people around you cheering for their favorite lucha libre. Drinks were only $70 peso! All fun if you're into wrestling...Must do in Mexico City. Show is every Friday @ 830pm... More

We went there Friday night, paid 17 us dollars and got a front seat on row 3, excitement at the max, many people selling stuff sometimes they don't let you see the action. They sell maruchan soups to eat while you watch haha, chips bag is 50 pesos, sodas 25 pesos, pop corn 30 pesos and nachos 35 pesos, wrestling... More

Catch a Friday event for the real action. We also attended a Sunday, less exciting and less capable luchadores. Ticketmaster has tickets, but I believe normally you can get tickets at the location. No issues with parking or getting Ubers coming and going. Unless you try to walk far on your return I wouldn't have any concerns on safety in... More

It was my husband dream to visit so we, my mother-in-law, my husband, myself, my 11 year old son, and 8 & 6 year old daughters went. We made it to the Arena Mexico via metro. We bought our tickets at the box office and settled in our medium priced seat. It was a Sunday night so the crowds were... More

Back home, I'm not known to watch wrestling, but I wanted to see Lucha Libre for myself and I'm glad I did! I went on a Monday night and didn't go with a tour guide. I simply walked 15 minutes from my hotel found the box office kiosk and inquired for a ticket. There are men outside the box office... More
