Condesa is a cozy, laid-back and very green neighborhood in the centre of Mexico City. Well worth a stroll around with its parks and some beautiful buildings. Quite a lot of restaurants and pubs, too. It's safe to walk around here.

Ditto as others have said. It is a neighborhood, so watch for deshechos de perritos! Dog poop... but no more than rarely. Restaurantes of all types and cultures. A "mercado" is really a food court with an upscale restaurant above. Worth the stop for lunch....More

If this were in my country I would live here. Quiet, leafy streets, endless cafes and bistros, many art deco bldgs., walk the Avenida Amsterdam and Avenida Mexico, visit Parque Mexico and Espana. Utterly relaxing and fascinating.
