I spent several days exploring this area while visiting Mexico City. The streets are shaded and pretty, lots of sidewalk cafes, restaurants and an amazing collection of luxury stores and shops. Cosmopolitan, high fashion people abounded. A lovely contrast to the other areas of Mexico...More

We visited Polanco twice. The first was at night for a dinner and we quickly realized that it was a swanky area and worth a daytime visit, so we did just that the next day, with a long walk around the neighborhood, which is full...More

Poshness defines Polanco, this wealthy neighborhood
retains elegance unmatched elsewhere in Distrito
Federal. Brunch in the Polanquito area, then keep up
with the latest fashion trends in luxury boutiques
around every corner. Top it off with beautiful cafés
and restaurants that surround Lincoln Park, a treat to
the senses thanks to the art decó architecture and
high quality gourmet cuisine found here.

Google maps will guide your journey. If walking is possible for you, enjoy the view. With bags, take a Uber. Very cheap and great availability in CDMX.
I am thinking of visiting Polanco and having dental work done there also. Is it safe for americans to visit? All answers will be great... mark

I would say it is safe, definitely one of the most upscale areas of Mexico City with high end shopping and restaurants. I do not know anything about the dental services there.

It's about 7 km, there are good safe buses that run on Reforma avenue and that would take you very near to downtown, just get down at Reforma and Juarez an walk east towards fine arts palace, it's a nice 10 minutes walk... More
