The Museo Tamayo is worth a quick stop in Chapultepec Park. Here you'll find a small permanent contemporary art collection along with temporary exhibits. Right now there's an amazing collection of artisan crafts by Claudia Fernandez on display.

This is for the ones who enjoy contemporary art and/or architecture. The building is impressive and the surroundings are full of modern and contemporary sculptures. The walk to there is already worth the visit. The Tamayo's collection is small (at least for what I was...More

A small museum with amazing architectural design and great exhibition of modern art. There is a restaurant with a terrace that abuts the surrounding forest and, with nice service, serves first rate fresh food.

A good museum although I didn't like the exposition that had taken place. The store outside the museum is Incredible and the restaurant is very good with a view of the Chapultepec' forest

I found the museum to be a nice way to spend 30 minutes but not a must see attraction. Honestly, the floor work and the overall architecture of the building was more interesting to me that the actual content of the museum.

A previous review said Tamayo work is not there. In fact there are two full rooms of his paintings plus a good collection of works he owned. The current expo is of Tacita Dean ... a deep and varied exploration of her work.

Because of its name you would think you are in for a treat to see the splendor of Rufino Tamayo's art and I am a fan. But nooo. Its only the name. Every maybe two week or so they have different well known artists from...More

The Tamayo museum is a very cool, modern building in the Chapultepec park complex. It houses a permanent collection of Rufino Tamayo pieces as well as temporary displays from other artists. The lighting is awful for a museum. The other main detraction was a lack...More
