We were thoroughly impressed by the diversity of artwork on display from 3 contemporary Mexican artists from Oaxaca. Well worth the time.

IIt is an art museum, where expositions of many painters from latin america are on display . Galleries cover hundreds of years of old local and latin portraits, to religious art. For any tourist it can be highly interesting.

The Museum of the People of Guanajuato exhibits and important permanent collection with representative Mexican art from 17th-19th centuries. It features works of Hermenegildo Bustos, a remarkable portrait painter for the precision in his drawings.
