We walked up here from the La Abadia Tradicional Hotel; it's just behind the Soriana shopping center. (You can get here cheaply by taking any Soriana bus and walk a bit further up.) You pay your admission, can leave your hat and any bags in...More

This used to be a silver mine but the 300 meter walk is just horizontal and hardly creates the effect of being in a mine. Make sure you get one of the knowledgeable guides, their story at least creates a bit of an atmosphere

Part of our the city tour was this mine. Good because we had a handicapped person in our group and there are no steps just a lot of mud. Good info provided by guide about mining history. Takes you down a long mine and at...More

It is a little entrance to a mine. It is interesting and a nice experience if you have never been inside a mine. It is a bit small, but it deliveres.

In about 20 minutes you'll get a nice tour of the mine and learn about the life of the miners. It's very reasonable at 25 pesos (less than $3 US) and it's chilly in there so felt nice to escape the heat that day.

Great place to visit, interesting talk from the guides that takes you inside the mine, this is one of the places you should not miss unless you don't like this type of places.

Very interesting, many old photos and hands on stuff. You walk down a short shaft to emulate the miners day. Not for the claustrophobic. Thoroughly enjoyed. We went with guide, I think that improved the experience. The topography of the surrounding country is interesting, looking...More
