What a surprise this was; far beyond our expectations. Beautifully presented and laid out and equals, if not surpasses many of the museums we have been in state-side. Hauntingly beautiful artwork, sculpture and intriguing historical and background information about Cervantes and, of course, Don Quixote that has inspired us to return for the Cervantes festival in the Fall.

We did enjoying to read info about mummies' history, how they died, and where found. Our family love this place.

This is such a unique museum! All forms of art relate to Cervantes, especially Don Quixote and Sancho Panza from the novel Don Quixote written by Miguel de Cervantes. We rested after enjoying the museum, in the courtyard. The coffee shop there had the most beautiful and delicious lattes!

I had a five star experience. The colonial architecture of the city is truly spectacular, and it is surrounded by hills and desert scrub. Guanajuato has a university with lots of museums and cultural events throughout the year.... More
