A retired miner makes us don safety hats and shows us charrettes of the mines in the region. We get the info despite our very basic Spanish. Then, the descent....down and down, dimly out with rope hand rails ...not for the claustrophobic or physically challenged...More

For those who were willing to travel down the minning tunnels built first on the back of the indians, then horses, finally steam power was used to mine and lastly electricity, it takes a lot of stamina to travel down the mine.

For people with knee problems, probably should be avoided. The tour of 42 people was hard to hear what was being said. It did not have many rails, cars, or tools for mining inside the mine.

A rare experience to go down deep into the underground mining tunnel. Narrow steps and clearance. Lots of stairs to tackle, a little dark. Not much to see down there but go just for the feel how it is to be in a mine.

Very interesting! First time inside a mine and it was a very good experience. Our guide was very informative. Better be in shape because you go down 60 meters and there are no elevators, we were very tired when we got back to the top....More
