Don't let the huge plaza out front discourage you. The main door is on the side by the road and the displays make this a "must see" to understand the history of the city. If you don't understand Spanish make sure you ask for information...More

Even though the displays are in Spanish you can get laminated English explanations from the ticket office personnel. Don't miss the Chavez Morado murals in the stairwells. And the homage to revolutionaries opposite the entrance is quite moving.

Take the guided tour (about $8 total for individual or group tour). Highly recommended. Lots of great history here. Impressive!

It is a great museum to learn about the history of Mexico. Fortunately I speak Spanish wish they have English translations for foreigners or a guided tour. Still worthwhile
