Beautiful building, some nice collections, the highlight is the mammoth Catarina and a painting by Diego Rivera. It opens at 9:00am but they don't really open all the rooms on time. Worth to visit for a short time.

Obviously not still woolly! Good display of skeletons/bones and very interesting to learn how many wild animals were in the region. Ceramics and other artefacts. As with most other museums, this is free on Sundays - and labels are in Spanish only.

We went to the museum on a sunday when entrance was free. There were some interesting exhibits but the interpretation boards were all written in Spanish only which we struggled with.

Not only ancient artifacts and images, but also wonderful portraits and landscapes, as well as dresses and costumes from the Colonial Era.

It is a total labyrinth with many rooms of all kinds of things: regional history, paintings, decorative things so plan at least 1 hour.
