We started out at a market which was very informational and our favorite part. We learned a lot about the different veggies and fruits of the area. We also went to a meat market and a tortilla factory. It was neat to see how the many tortillas for hotels/restaurants are made. Then we went to the chef's house. Enrique, his... More

Enrique and his wife are a lovely couple who teach you all about Mexican cuisine from shopping to preparing to eating. My husband and 4 teens loved the shopping, preparations and tastings of all the dishes, even the tequilla. It was our favorite day of the vacation. One more reason to love Mexico and its people. Thank you Enrique!! Nancy... More

Just got back from cooking Mole Pablanao & Tamales with Enrique. We met up with Enrique and proceeded on a tour of a local market and tortilla factory, where we received lots of great tips on local shopping. Then, on to his home with his wife and their assistants to cook for about 2 hours! It was probably the best... More

This was one of the highlights of our trip. We started out visiting a Mexican market and tortilla factory. We learned about the different types of food available and purchased the ingredients for our class. Joanna was an excellent guide and the market vendors were patient and friendly also. Enrique, Erica (Enrique's wife), and Joanna then spent the afternoon teaching... More

My girlfriend and I love to cook and do a rendition of tacos al pastor ourselves back home but we're looking to learn and experience a more traditional recipe. The experience was second to none, within a trip to the market where we gathered our ingredients and learned of the culture and history behind mexican cuisine. The cooking lesson itself... More

Enrique, his wife, and the entire staff working with him make this cooking class an absolutely delicious delight. From the visit to the local market to cooking at his home you really feel like you are getting a taste of Mexico.
