We go to the market every Saturday for flowers and sometimes some honey mustard glaze. There are food and craft booths of local and countryside owners and growers. Lots of fun. Plenty to eat. Places to sit. And sometimes music.

Loved this market. Sure it caters to the tourists but you can find everything you need for a healthy week's worth of grocery. From the fresh fruit and vegetables to organic cheese and jam. The breads are delicious. And so are the fresh juices. Made...More

By chance, we found ourselves at this market. The juice stand "Refresca" was my favorite. There was quite good food stands, fruit & sweets vendors, handcraft artists. Go and discover this place which is very close to Malecon in Zona Romantica. Find out what you...More

Good question. Perhaps ask that in the Facebook page: puerto vallarta: everything you need or want to know I do know they were doing it just after 9 am when we were walking to the gym.

It's a small market in the waterfront park. Just tell the taxi to drop you at the Saturday market at the park. They'll know what to do.

Foods at the local markets are safe to eat. I would avoid street taco stands. Vallarta is one of two cities in Mexico with water that has been certified for 15 years and is as safe as any in the US. Nobody gets sick from... More
