Sea Shell City has been open since 1979, we open with the idea of giving a glimpse of the treasures of the sea to all our visitor . We sell all kind of shell from all over the world, beach clothes and jewerly. On our second floor we have a fountain completly covered with sea shells which took 2 years to the artists to complete it, on that same floor we have a display of our personal sea shell collection.

This is not a museum! It is free entry for a business that profits from shell collection. If you make a purchase here you could be encouraging the illegal collection of replacement shells. There was no way to know if the shells and coral were ethically obtained. Please think before making a purchase. I love our ocean and would like... More

This is a store with some fish upstairs. There are many different types of shells to buy downstairs. Upstairs there are wall hangings waterfall, pottery, and many crafts made from shell varieties. It is kind of interesting to see all that can be done with sea shells. This is a quirky store to stop in and get a few souvenirs if you don't... More

This was an okay outing for the quick walk it was from the hotel. It wasn't at all what I was expecting however. I expected someone to spend more time talking to us about the shells. All in all, I wouldn't waste my money.

Neat tourist spot to get souvenirs or just look around. Everything is made out of seashells, from small pieces to large hanging plant holders.

This is a shop, not a museum. It's sort of cool to walk around and admire the vast variety of shells, but be prepared to be followed around and watched like a hawk. You break, you buy- we have never broken anything in there, or even come close, but if the kids and I stop by they give my quiet... More

This is NOT a museum. Someone who loves shells ran out of room in their home/garage/mom's home/grandparent's home and created this place. It is a store to buy shells and things made from shells with a couple fish in tanks upstairs in the "museum" portion with an old diving suit and some more shells/skeletons up there. It is weird.

Lot of seashells - I doubt most are local, but whatever, they are cool to look at. Along with seashells to look at, this is a great stop for gifts as they anything you can think of with a seashell attached. Plenty of parking front and back. Near many popular restaurants - might was well pop in and check it... More

Free entertainment , stop in for a peek at various shells, and also check out the trinkets, Tlavera pottery shirts, jewelry, wall hangings, etc. for sale and other tourist gifts and souvenirs. Nothing to go out of your way for but if in area do stop in and peek.

Typical tourist shop plus museum, with plenty of the usual Talavera style pottery and assorted souvenirs. Worth checking out as there's not cost to enter or obligation to buy anything. You can certainly find more diverse and quality selection of shells here than on the beaches. Prices for shells are "c/u", cara uno which means each one and you can... More
